Unique premises for
your event
Arrange your event in beautiful surroundings in the center of Oslo. TAKET is a function room at the top of Steen & Strøm - just a stone's throw from Karl Johans gate. The venue serves as a kitchen, roof terrace, bar and is a unique function room. Here we can accommodate up to 800 people, and have the capacity to host all kinds of events - indoors and outdoors - We are open all year round.
Choose between two unique function rooms:
NEW! TAKET Chambre
TAKET Chambre is a new room, next door to the main room, which we have been given access to use for smaller events. The room is located on the 6th floor of Steen & Strøm, but will be separate from the main room inside TAKET.
TAKET Chambre is suitable for events for up to 120 people.
The main room
The main venue is the traditional TAKET Steen & Strøm as you know it. The venue consists of our winter garden, roof terrace and entrance area.
This is our largest venue with room for 800 people.

Our kitchen can serve simple food and coffee for breakfast and lunch, street food mingle menu, or customize for a more formal dinner

We offer perhaps Oslo's finest roof terrace of 340 sqm. In addition, there are 450 sqm. indoors. All in all, this is the perfect function room in Oslo. There is capacity for 510 guests (with the possibility to expand for some events).
When you contact us, we'll work together to find out which part(s) of the venue will work best for you.

We offer events both with and without food service. The kitchen at TAKET is run by Sebastian Myhre and his team. They deliver delicious dishes made from high quality local ingredients.

TAKET is close to the train, subway and tram, making it easy for participants to find their way to us. There is a separate entrance between Gucci and Valentino in Nedre Slottsgate 8 with a direct elevator up to the venue, where you can meet the participants with a nice welcome.
